A tour of remote Berber villages and mountain passes before the Toubkal summit on day 5, with your own muleteer crew and cook. Nights in village houses, refuges or tents. Can be extended, even into the desert with camels.

Day1
Marrakech · Tizi n'Tacht Pass · Tahliouine
Marrakech to Tahliouine
Picked up from your Marrakech accommodation, you drive about 1h30 to the High Atlas, where our local team meets you for a tea break. You then set off hiking towards the Tizi n'Tacht pass, about 2h uphill, with a short rest at the top before continuing downhill to join a rough road leading to Tahliouine village, with lunch on the way. You spend the night at a Berber lodge.

Tahliouine to Azib Tamsoult
After breakfast you walk towards Azib Tamsoult (2,256 m), passing the village of Tizi Oussem on the way, then climb uphill to Azib Tamsoult, where you have lunch and spend the night at a refuge.

Azib Tamsoult to Lepiney Refuge
After an early breakfast, you walk from Azib Tamsoult to the Lepiney Refuge (3,000 m), a fine old alpine hut, where you have lunch and spend the night.

Over Tizi n'Aguelzim Pass to the Toubkal refuge
After an early breakfast, you leave the Lepiney refuge, walking downhill briefly before joining a zigzagging trail uphill to the Tizi n'Aguelzim pass (3,600 m), from where you can see the Toubkal peak and basecamp. After a picnic lunch on the pass, you walk downhill to the Toubkal refuge, where you spend the night.

Toubkal Refuge · Summit · Imlil · Marrakech
Summit day, then Imlil and Marrakech
The last day is summit day. You wake early, have breakfast, then set off hiking to the Toubkal summit, about 3h uphill. Once at the peak, you enjoy amazing views over the Atlas mountains and summits, before walking back down to the refuge for lunch. From there you hike back to Imlil valley and transfer back to Marrakech.

What's included
